Lindisfarne 1

The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is a tidal island off the northeast coast of England. It is also known just as Holy Island. It constitutes the civil parish of Holy Island in Northumberland. Holy Island has a recorded history from the 6th century. It was an important centre of Celtic Christianity under Saints Aidan of Lindisfarne, Cuthbert, Eadfrith of Lindisfarne and Eadberht of Lindisfarne. After Viking invasions and the Norman conquest of England a priory was reestablished. A small castle was built on the island in 1550.

History[]

Lindisfarne was the site of a massacre carried out by Alexandru Rusmanov and around forty vampires under his command.  During this attack, at least half the island's population - eighty people or more - was killed before Blacklight forces killed Alexandru and most of his vampires.  The survivors of the attack were forced to sign non-disclosure agreements, and the mass murder was explained to the public as the work of a religious cult called the Children of God.  One of the survivors, Kate Randall, would choose to join Blacklight as a direct result of her experiences that night.
